Description:

The work draws on the motif of balance in suspension, yet shifts the emphasis from a threshold experience toward a protective space. The abyss and the destabilization of order are filtered through the presence of an organic element—a sign of life embedded in a seemingly barren world.

At the center of the composition is a white polar bear, whose presence operates on multiple levels. Its whiteness functions both as a stain and as a “white spot” of meaning—an uncharted, undefined area open to the viewer’s emotional projection. At the same time, it is a symbol of the living, organic, fragile world, introduced into an imagined northern landscape.

The space evoking the North Pole becomes a metaphor of extremity—a borderline place where life exists under severe conditions. The bear’s presence does not soften the tension; it heightens sensitivity to it. It reminds us of the delicacy of existence and of the possibility of endurance even within a seemingly empty, cosmic scenery.

“Stellar Sanctuary Of Sensitivity” works through contrasts: coldness and empathy, stillness and life. It is an image of suspension in which balance is not regained through stability, but through attentiveness to what is alive, sensitive, and vulnerable to disappearance.

White plays an ambivalent role in this work. On one hand, it functions as a patch of silence—a space cleared of excess information, an area of suspension and potential. On the other hand, it becomes a cognitive “blank spot”: an untamed place that resists unequivocal interpretation, open to projections of emotion and meaning.

White also symbolizes the fragility and purity of existence, while simultaneously signaling its threat—the ease with which it can vanish in a world that remains indifferent. Within the imagined northern landscape, this color intensifies the sense of extremity: silence, cold, and vastness, where life persists at the edge of visibility. White is therefore not neutral—it carries the tension between presence and the possibility of erasure.
